Welcome to Wildwood Shamanism
My shamanic path
It all started on my phone…
I stumbled upon shamanic journeywork via a meditation app. Scrolling through the tracks, I saw “Shamanic Drumming.” I had no idea what that meant. The instructions just said to play the track, picture a hole or cave, and imagine yourself entering it...then see what happens. So I did.
I was blown away by what I experienced and started experimenting with different elements of the journeying process. It wasn’t until I started reading about shamanism that I found the context and language to explain what was happening.
In hindsight, I can see that my helping spirits had been guiding me long before my official shamanic training had begun — including years studying meditation, mythology, storytelling, Buddhism, Taoism, mysticism and mindfulness. Plus shamanic experiences that I couldn’t explain until I learned the language of shamanism.
Since 2019, I have been practicing shamanism ardently. This includes:
Years of study with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, including their Two-Week Shamanic Healing Intensive and workshops on extraction, psychopomp and divination among many others. I’m currently enrolled in their Three-Year Program of Advanced Initiations in Shamanism and Shamanic Healing.
Years of study with the Three Ravens College of Therapeutic Shamanism, including workshops on parts-of-self work, chakras and the body, wild soul and much more.
Plus, and most important of all, deep and continued mentorship with my compassionate helping spirits.
Since 2023, I have been offering shamanic healing, space clearing and divination to others. My practice is based on Core Shamanism, with a strong emphasis on personal empowerment, ethics and soul-growth. Wildwood Shamanism is a happy collaboration between me and my helping spirits.
My goal is to share these gifts of healing and wisdom that I’ve received. I want to help all of us — myself included — learn to live in deeper harmony with each other and with nature. And finally, I hope to become a Mother Tree for my community and protect this circle of life we’ve been given for future generations.
